We love the range of entertainers and their different
music styles. Lizottes is such an intimate space, you really get the
best kind of atmosphere.
My son and I came along to the "Diesel and Band" show, on Friday night which was an absolute blast. Shawn didn't know what to except, he plays the guitar (but doesn't read music) he picks everything up by listening. Mark inspired Shawn, and taught him some new techniques and sounds. He said "it was great to listen to a legend in a small environment, that was full of atmosphere, and commented to his friends of the flavour of the food, recommended Lizottes to his friends, which they are in the motion of planning. My husband and I have been to Lizottes before from a recommendation from my work. Which we have since passed on further comments of satisfaction of food and entertainments to friends. Your restaurant is a great recommendation for "live acts" to all, inspiring artists as well as the old faithfuls we grew up with in a cosy atmosphere, together with great service from all whom work there. Jenny Morris, fantastic show full of energy. The young girl as support was great, what a great start up and learning curve for young entertainers. Felt your sound system (accustics?) was sometimes not quite up to it. But thats very minor. The new Basement, but much better food. Central Coast reaches maturity finally (we've had a holiday home here for 25 years). Please keep serving it up, you've got us sold on it. You will see lots of us and friends. "Having travelled from Perth via plane and then driven up from Sydney, my wife and I had no idea of what to expect when we rolled up to Kincumber (Where is Kincumber!)! Wow…what a fantastic surprise. The amount of cars and "Sold Out" sign suggested that it was going to be a busy night but our first experience was that 3 people each checked that we were being attended when we first walked in; this is with a full restaurant of 120 people. After being shown our table, Joni and I sat back and watched as the Lizotte's team was in full flight. Having travelled Australia and various places in the world, eating out in many well reputed restaurants, I was blown away by the friendly, attentive and accurate service that we received on Friday night at Lizotte's; all under the calm and watchful eye of Jo Lizotte. The set menu gave us tremendous choice and for the first time I tried Stuffed Zucchini Flowers…………How long have I been missing out on this? It was exquisite, followed by an equally tender fillet steak which sat upon a porcini mushroom risotto that I will be pleading Chef Brian to find some way to ship to WA. Cold beers, great original guitarist, good wine menu and a fantastic dessert, set our meal off beautifully. Within the first couple of hours, this well oiled machine had attended, fed and cleared 120 meals without once the feeling of being rushed or having to wait long for a refill. To then sit back and share the intimate setting of Daryl Braithwaite and his band for the main show, Joni and I couldn't believe our luck. The amazing thing was to see Brian & Jo Lizotte in "full attention mode" as they ensured that the patrons, band and staff were all maximising their enjoyment. Thankyou so much for a wonderful evening. I hope that the people of Kincumber and the surrounding areas (NSW in general!) realise how lucky they are to have one place that has 5 star food, a unique live music setting as well as Brian, Jo & their staff who obviously care that everyone enjoys." "My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Lizotte's last night and I wanted to comment on what a fantastic evening we had. Having never been to Lizotte's before (but have been meaning to for a while) we were very excited to book a table at such short notice (4pm that afternoon). From the time we arrived we were greeted by warm and attentive staff. Our meals were of a quality that I have never before experienced from a restaurant. The herb bread was the most exsquisite bread we have ever tasted! The crackling on the pork was the most perfect crackling I have ever experienced. Even the side bowl of chips were spectacular. And dessert....Oh my goodness. Never before have I tasted such a decadent, sensual combination of flavours. The macerated balsamic strawberries were the most intriguing and unique flavour I have ever come across. You can see why I felt compelled to write about how spectacular our dining experience was! The value for money was excellent as well. We would have easily paid more for our meal. My husband even left a tip (which we don't normally do) because your staff well and truly deserved it.
