Ray Beadle is an established Sydney based blues musician. Considered among some of the best in Australian Blues, this talented young musician had been noticed world wide.
He has played a 3 month residency with the house band in B.B King's Club in Memphis and Buddy Guy’s Blues Club in Chicago as well as several Southern Blues festivals. While in America Ray recorded with Mark Sallings. Ray has also had the privelge of being asked to play with American greats such as Andy Just, Dave Bowen and Chris Cain.
Geoff Achison has a reputation as a formidable acoustic and electric guitarist, a capable vocalist and a composer of good, funky songs without the cliches. IT'S BLUES JIM ... BUT NOT AS WE KNOW IT! Having taught himself to play in the isolation of rural Australia, he has developed a blues/funk style all his own that can be delicate one moment and explosive the next. Geoff also possesses a soulful voice that has evoked favorable comparisons to Joe Cocker or Warren Haynes. An award winning songwriter to boot, Geoff’s live set features an infectious mix of catchy original tunes, improvised jamming and inspired versions of blues & soul classics.

Chain
Main meal and show
$79.50

Main Meal & Show Bar stool seating only
$65.00 pp + Booking Fee
Since the late sixties and early seventies, Chain has been the most influential blues/rock band in Australia. They have put an indelible stamp of an Australian style on blues music that no other act has done. Although they individually and collectively learnt the music of the American greats and were influenced by the British blues of the sixties, they interpreted blues in a way no-one had done before… and they were different in other ways too!
Their chart success in 1971 was generated by their following, not a record company push. They became known for their dedication to original music and were, in a sense, a reaction to the mindless copying of overseas acts that so many Australian bands indulged in at the time. (There were a few very notable exceptions of course)
They also became an iconic symbol for the working class, performed songs that represented the feelings of the anti-Vietnam War movement, and were more suited to the alternative life-style people of the late sixties / early seventies than the mainstream pop world.

Glenn found superstar success with Australia's first super group... the Little River Band, who sold over 25 MILLION albums from 1978-1992. Glenn Shorrock was inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association's HALL of FAME in 1991, and as a member of Little River Band in 2004. The first release from the 1977 album "Diamantina Cocktail" (CERTIFIED GOLD) was also their first hit, "Help is On Its Way," and was followed by two more hits, "Happy Anniversary" and "Home on Monday." The next album, "Sleeper Catcher"(CERTIFIED PLATINUM) also produced mega hits for the Aussie band, including "Lady" and "Reminiscing," in 1978. This album release really put LRB on the music maps and opened up doors for other Australian artists. In 1979 LRB released another fine album, "First Under the Wire" (CERTIFIED PLATINUM) which produced the hits "Lonesome Loser" and "Cool Change." By this time, Glenn Shorrock was a well-respected vocalist and songwriter, responsible for many of the LRB hits. 1981 brought the release of "Time Exposure" (CERTIFIED GOLD)which featured hits "Man on Your Mind," "Take it Easy on Me," and "Night Owls." Glenn makes his home today in a Sydney suburb and continues to this day to tour, as well as work in stage productions and with new Australian musical talent.

The Dingoes

Show only bar stool seating (Bar menu available)
$60.00 pp + Booking Fee
Featuring: John Bois,
Broderick Smith,
Chris Stockley,
Kerry Tolhurst,
Conventionally described as Australia's foremost 'country-rock' exponents, their avowed aim was to "marry rhythm and blues with Bush music". The Dingoes indeed fused elements of country and folk music with R&B, blues and rock, giving it a muscular and distinctively Australian edge that set it apart from many of their rather anaemic American counterparts. They were also something of a 'supergroup' comprising veteran musos drawn from several other leading bands of the early 70s.
The Dingoes debut single, "Way Out West", was released in November 1973, which peaked in the top 40 of the Australian Kent Music Report singles chart. Subsequent singles were "Boy on the Run", "Smooth Sailing" and "Into the Night", which did not reach the top 50. They had three top 40 albums, The Dingoes in 1974, Fives Times the Sun in 1977 and Orphans of the Storm in 1979
On 27 August 2009, The Dingoes were inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Hall of Fame alongside Kev Carmody, Little Pattie, Mental As Anything and John Paul Young.

NOVAKAYN
Like a Phoenix rises from the ashes, so too has Novakayn risen again. After success in the late 90's early 00's, Novakayn hung up their guitars and mics when lead singer Kaz and guitarist/songwriter....and Kaz' husband Geoff, fell pregnant whilst on tour in the U.S, with their now 9 yr old daughter Sedona. They played New York, the famous venue in Hollywood ‘The Gig’ and many more.
After a long break, this seemed like the perfect excuse to put the band back together.
With a fresh outlook and renewed passion for their music, Kaz and Geoff sought out the smooth but ballsy vocals of Tracey Young for a bit of spice and newness and have reformed Novakayn. Tracey adds a special hit to Novakayn's addictive sounds. They then added the rhythmic & sexy sounds of percussionist Paul Kumar, and Novakayn is now complete.

Whitley - FINAL EVER TOUR

Show only bar stool seating (Bar menu available)
$25.00 pp + Booking Fee
Melbourne songwriter Whitley is gearing up for what will be his final tour ever. In the five years since he came onto the scene he’s completed countless tours to fans all over the country and the world.
The young songwriter is setting sail for greener pastures and relocating to Europe where he plans to explore new kinds of music in a new environment. ‘It’s been a great time playing all this music, but it’s time for me to pack it in here, there’s only so many times you can play around the same venues and expect to be stimulated and inspired. I mean, when you’re sitting in a band room and realize you’ve read and memorized 48% of the toilet’s graffiti in every venue, you know it’s time to explore new horizons…I know there could be a whole new world of toilet graffiti out there, new penis drawings that I can’t even conceive of in my feeble mind right now, with swearing in a completely foreign language.’
The word from the Whitley camp is that there will be songs from both releases played in a huge double set. ‘The first half will be solo, quiet songs…then I’ll bring on the band for the finale. I’m actually really excited. I can’t say that I have felt like that in a while, but I’m sure that this will be something to remember for us and hopefully the punters as well.’
Whitley’s last tour will take him around Australia in August with Australia’s favourite shoegaze band, Seagull.

Today he still writes and releases songs and all stations who appreciate his genre playlist them. His latest albim 'Light of Love' has exceptional production and vocal reviews and his catchy sing-along tribute to Steve Irwin 'Crikey'! is played in many countries and sung by thousands of kids in schools.

She went on to win and take out the title of Australian Idol 2004 in front of a packed audience at the Sydney Opera House, becoming the youngest ever to win an Idol competition and the first Australian female winner.
Since the hype of Australian Idol has died down, Casey has been establishing herself as an artist in her own right, and has been enjoying successful gigs at various well known venues such as The Basement, and The Vanguard in Sydney, and the Grand Central Melbourne, for which she has been receiving rave reviews and standing ovations. $17.00 pp + Booking Fee
Frustrated by the cost and delays that come with releasing an independent CD, Sydney singer/songwriter Mark Wilkinson came up with a novel solution.
In April 2009, armed with an abundance of songs, a guitar and a camera, Mark set out to release one original tune per week for a full year on You Tube. The project, which concluded in April 2010, has successfully bridged the gap between composing and delivering his music to a wider audience for free!
With over 40,000 hits so far, Mark’s raw and stripped back tracks seem to have struck a cord. For Wilkinson, the instant and honest feedback from You Tube Viewers has proved invaluable, with people reaction to each song helping to shape what makes it into his live shows.
It has also lead to places slightly less expected. Not only does Mark have an album in the works but he has scored himself a slot as the support artist on the Australian leg of Michael Bolton’s ‘ONE WORLD, ONE LOVE’ tour later this month.
A relative late comer to the music scene, Mark made a speedy transition from bedroom composer to stage performer in 2005, when he wowed an unsuspecting audience with his well crafted lyrics and original melodies.
A natural storyteller, Mark’s songs invoke tales of passion and honesty, tied up in his own observations of the world around him. Infused with a voice drenched in soul, this is music that reaches out and strikes listeners at their emotional core.

EXCLUSIVE TO LIZOTTES!!!
Vika and Linda Bull are the amazing sister vocal duo who came to prominence after being asked to sing backing vocals in Joe Camilleri's band The Black Sorrows.
Their combined Tongan and Australian heritage provide the impetus behind their blend of world music.
Before the Black Sorrows (where they sang as featured vocalists) brought national fame, the sisters sang with Sophisticated Boom Boom and the Sacred Hearts of Sweet Temptation. Vika released two solo singles in 1988, "Living Hell" and "My House," before teaming up with Linda for their debut album, Vika and Linda. An easily accessible musical showcase for the sisters, it featured some of Australia's most talented songwriters, including Paul Kelly, Stephen Cummings, Joe Camilleri, Nick Smith, Mark Seymour, Nick Barker, and Wayne Burt.
Their next album, At the Mouth of the River, was recorded for Peter Gabriel's Realworld label. In 1996, Vika & Linda returned to Tonga, where their mother was born, to meet the nation's monarch King Taufa'ahu Tupou. This trip led to their next album, Princess Tabu, an album heavily influenced by Tongan culture and featuring some of the country's finest musicians, including the vocals of the Mosi Mosi Kava Club. The album was recorded in England with Massive Attack producer Jeremy Allom and again featured a plethora of Australian talent including Paul Kelly, Tim Finn, Barry Palmer, Michael Barker, and Diesel.
As well as their solo performances, Vika & Linda have also appeared on several albums by well-known Australian acts, including John Farnham, Hunters and Collectors, Ross Wilson, Archie Roach, Paul Kelly, and Noiseworks.

Straight from the heart and reminiscent of a smoky, French café, guitarist and vocalist John Baker and accordionist Gayle Buckby create a seductive and potent world full of compelling stories and lush instrumentation, carrying the listener through elegant ballads, gypsy reggae and a lurching night waltz in the rain.
“I have always treasured great song writing, and after listening to The Baker Suites’ recordings I was struck by the depth and authenticity of the material. It harks back to great writers such as James Taylor, Jimmy Webb, Carole King or Burt Bacharach” Paul Grabowsky.

The Brewster Brothers

John and Rick Brewster, foremost songwriters and guitarists of legendary group The Angels, one of Australia’s most loved and respected bands are back on the road in March for selected shows with their band THE BREWSTER BROTHERS.
John and Rick produced The Angels classic multi-platinum albums. They have been inducted into both the ARIA Hall of Fame and the Australian Songwriters Hall of Fame. While continuing to perform with The Angels, the brothers decided to work on a break- away project. They were looking to develop new material shaped by their experiences; both as teenagers growing up in Adelaide and all those years together in and out of the spotlight riding the highs and lows playing in one Australia’s most successful bands.
They were searching for an elusive style that would reflect and embody Rick’s early classical piano playing and John’s young teenage years holed up in his bedroom engrossed with The Beatles, Dylan, The Band and the like. THE BREWSTER BROTHERS were born!
They set to work and produced a batch of finely crafted songs with majestic melodies and poetic images which seemed to point a finger to the endless highways and byways they’d traversed and lived on since those far-off Adelaide days - songs such as ‘Do It Again’, ‘Brothers Keeper’, ‘You and I’ and ‘Blue Blood’, which ultimately gave birth to their haunting and evocative first album ‘Shadows Fall’. It is a remarkable work that reflects the full scope of the Brewsters' musicianship and creative vision.
In 2007 the live album (Brewster Brothers In Concert at the Port Fairy Folk Festival) was recorded at the Port Fairy Festival, and late 2009 they released the new critically acclaimed studio album ‘Wounded Healer’.
The Brewsters continue to perform extensively throughout the country, both club-style concerts and festival appearances. They continue to pack out venues and receive standing ovations.

Aside from Midnight Oil, vSpy vSpy are arguably one of Australia's most politically- oriented rock bands. While Midnight Oil's politics were those of conscience, Spy V Spy were outspoken representatives of the Street. Primarily they started out as the voice of the homeless squatters of early eighties Sydney, but their songs spoke for everyone who felt under the thumb of The System. They told stories polite Australia didn't necessarily want told.

CHRIS WILSON has been an essential part of blues and rock music in Australia since taking the stage with the Sole Twisters twenty years ago. Stints with Harum Scarum and Paul Kelly and the Coloured Girls followed, and the end of the 80s saw Wilson as one of our finest vocalists, harmonica players and songwriters, fronting the superb Crown of Thorns.
His instrumental gifts have oft been utilised on recordings by the likes of James Reyne, Hunters and Collectors, Vika and Linda, Renee Geyer, Archie Roach, X, Deb Conway and Ross Hannaford's Dianna Kiss. Chris has enjoyed the company of Australia's best musicians on stage and in the studio when realising his own visions in song.
Chris has performed in the U.S. at SXSW and two Folk Alliance Conferences. He has won the respect of many overseas artists, among these Joe Henry, Charlie Musselwhite and Tony Joe White. Bob Dylan once made a special trip backstage to shake Chris' hand after a show together in 1992!
Chris has appeared at every major Australian festival and his performances, filled as they are with his own brand of sensuality and the dynamic power that leaves his audiences so satisfied, are always a highlight. Chris' stage presence, voice and talent are all as big as the country he lives in. CHRIS WILSON is a master of his craft.

Darren Percival has achieved an outstanding reputation in Australia as an artist, musician, vocal coach and jazz singer of talent, imagination and skill.
With over twenty years of professional experience, he has worked as an entertainer, recording artist, singing teacher and innovator with resounding results.
A childhood spent in Mexico inspired the canvas for his ‘spontaneous vocalization’, and recording monthly cassette tapes for family and friends back home in Australia propelled his fascination with recording the human voice and being able to play it back.
In the early years he learnt his craft studying singing techniques with Alan Dean, Kerrie Biddell and Mark Murphy. At 17 he was the youngest ever finalist in The Australian Singing Competition and when he left high school in 1989 he toured throughout the west coast of California with the Big Band he fronted for his senior years at school. Then returning to Australia to begin touring with veteran Australian entertainers Bobby Limb and Dawn Lake and later that year joining a troupe of ballroom dancers as compare and guest vocalist.
In 1991, Darren was a finalist in The James Morrison Jazz Scholarship and after grabbing Morrison’s attention, toured with him around Australia at jazz clubs, special events and festivals. Various bookings took a young Mr. Percival to stages around the world including a Parliament House Concert for President Bill Clinton. For seven years the association with James Morrison lead to numerous television appearances, recording sessions and national touring.

Harry Manx Sunday Lunch
Main meal and show
$104.50 pp + Booking Fee
Main Meal & Show Bar stool seating only
$89.50 pp + Booking Fee
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND - SPECIAL LUNCH TIME PERFORMANCE!!
Mysticssippi" blues man Harry Manx has been called an "essential link" between the music of East and West, creating musical short stories that wed the tradition of the Blues with the depth of classical Indian ragas. He has created a unique sound that is hard to forget and deliciously addictive to listen to. Born on the Isle of Man, Manx spent his childhood in Canada and left in his teens to live in Europe, Japan, India and Brazil. He honed his hypnotic live show on street corners, in cafes, bars and at festivals. But it was Indian music that captured Manx and in the mid 80s he began his five-year tutelage with Rajasthani Indian musician Vishwa Mohan Bhatt (Grammy winner with Ry Cooder for A Meeting by the River). He also received the gift of Bhatt's custom-made, self-designed Mohan veena-a 20-stringed sitar/guitar-that was the catalyst for Harry to forge a new path with his now signature east-meets-west style of music. A successful touring performer, Manx has brought his "breathtaking" solo shows across Canada, into the USA, Australia, France and most recently to Singapore and Spain. He has appeared at many prestigious festivals, world-class theatres, concert halls and infamous Blues clubs around the globe. Playing the Mohan Veena, lap steel, harmonica and banjo, Manx quickly envelops the audience into what has been dubbed "the Harry Zone" with his warm vocals and the hauntingly beautiful melodies of his original songs. "The live performances have become the most exciting part of the music business for me," Harry says. "And it's not only the playing; it's all the other magic that happens between myself and the audience. My goal has always been to draw the audience as deep as possible into the music." Blend Indian folk melodies with slide guitar blues, add a sprinkle of gospel and some compelling grooves. The result is hard to resist, easy to digest and keeps audiences coming back for more

Jim Conway has assembled an astonishing array of talent to galvanise the ranks of his new dream band. “Big Wheel” boasts an absolute all-star line up of musicians who share Jim’s passion for Blues, Jump and Swing. Big Wheel features the talents of Jim Conway, Don Hopkins, Jess Green, Stan Valacos, Andy Byrnes and R. P. White. Each member of ‘Big Wheel’ is uniquely talented and stylistically distinctive and while they each draw from a wide source of influences, collectively they exhibit an instantaneous and uncanny empathy.
This fusion of diverse inspiration is evident in the Big Wheel’s mostly original repertoire that draws on 30’s swing and boogie, 40’s and 50’s rhythm and blues, Caribbean, Latin and New Orleans stylistic elements. It’s little wonder that their inaugural CD, Little Story received an ARIA nomination for Best Blues Album in 2004. From its humble beginnings in Jim Conway’s lounge room, Big Wheel had the magic, a distinctive sound that jelled from the start.
Over the past five years the band has performed at many festivals including Port Fairy Folk Festival, Bellingen Jazz Festival, Wangaratta Jazz Festival, Brunswick Music Festival, Illawarra Jazz Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, Narooma Blues & Roots Festival, Kiama Jazz Festival and Balmain Acoustica. Over the last year, one of the bands major projects was to record their long awaited second CD, Share This Life.

Perry Keyes
Perry grew up in the inner city working class area of Sydney known as Redfern. He grew up in a home populated by various uncles, aunts, cousins and grandparents. Every Saturday morning his grandmother would do the house work whilst playing the likes of Ray Charles and Roy Orbison at a volume loud enough to spill out onto the neighbouring streets, lined with tightly-packed terraced houses, warehouses and textile factories. It was within this environment that Perry formed the band The Stolen Holdens in 1989. Musically inspired by the likes of The Clash and Elvis Costello, Keyes developed a small but loyal following in the local Sydney music scene. Perry released his debut double album Meter in 2005 to critical acclaim and numerous years end best-of lists. His next album The Last Ghost Train Home was received with even greater acclaim upon its release in 2007. It went on to be short-listed for the Australian Music Prize and was named the ABC Radio National Album of the Year.

Shannon Noll - Up Close and Intimate

$90.50 pp + Booking Fee
The youngest of three boys, Shannon formed a band and "Cypress" played gigs in country pubs however, he was in debt and out of work. His brothers encouraged him to enter Australian Idol, a TV talent show that had millions of Australian's voting for their favourite singers. At audition, his performance of "Hold Me in Your Arms" impressed the three judges. The emotional Marcia Hines, said that, "she had just discovered a voice," and the acerbic Ian Dickson "Dicko" said, "Australia will love you." The competition was fierce and over fifteen weeks, Shannon tackled all manner of music from U2 to Frank Sinatra. Eventually, Shannon emerged as runner-up. He went on to sign a multi-album deal with Sony BMG Music Entertainment and so began an incredible music journey.
His first single was the Moving Pictures' song, "What About Me". Twenty-one years after its debut, it was back at number 1 in Australia and later, at number 2 in Ireland. "Dicko" was right; Australia did love this boy from the bush.
Shannon's debut album titled "That's What I'm Talking About" entered the charts at No.1 and put Shannon Noll well and truly on a successful musical path. The albums' second single, "Drive," was a pedigree tune written by Phil Thornalley and Bryan Adams. It went top 5 and was Shannon's choice to perform at the 2004 TV Week Logie Awards. The ensuing momentum was massive and forty live shows followed in forty-seven days as yet another #1 single hit the market in the albums third single "Learn to Fly." When all was said and done the debut album "That's What I'm Talking About" had been a No.1 album and had gone on to sell a certified 5 times platinum and had remained in the top 100 albums chart for almost a year.
Shannon has now released "No Turning Back: The Story So Far." It's a classy collection of ten big hits and five new songs lead by "Summertime."
"It's not just all the songs that everyone's heard.. there's something new and a couple of them are really close to my heart, " states Shannon.
The album is supported by a "back to basics" National tour that's on the road until December

Singer-songwriter Angie Hart rose to fame with the Melbourne-based alt-pop band ‘Frente!' which formed in 1991, selling more than a million records worldwide and changing the face of pop music in Australia. Post-Frente, Angie formed the duo ‘Splendid' and later teamed up with Dean Manning as ‘Holidays on Ice'.
More recently Angie Hart has become her own entity, releasing solo album ‘Grounded Bird' in late 2007. Her forthcoming album 'Eat My Shadow', due for release in October 2009, was recorded with ARIA-Award winning producer Shane Nicholson, and again features her celebrated winsome yet playful vocals that pack a lyrical punch.
Matthew Barber is an acclaimed singer-songwriter hailing from Toronto, Canada. A fixture on the Canadian music scene over the last five years, Barber has released three records and an e.p. and toured extensively across Canada and abroad, making inroads into Europe, Australia and now the United States. His sound is largely influenced by the tradition of folk-rock and country singer-songwriters like Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Tom Petty, Hank Williams, Leonard Cohen and Bruce Springsteen, but also by years of immersion in contemporary indie-rock as a college radio d.j. The one constant in Barber's songwriting is his knack for a memorable hook (perhaps owing to his enduring love of the Beatles), and in this way he has carved out a unique sound that often defies categorization.

In 1988, 1927 was truly an Australian music phenomenon, selling more than 500,000 copies of their debut album, ...ish. This remains one of the highest selling debut albums by an Australian artist in chart history. It contained numerous hit singles and the band built a solid career around multiple sold out shows throughout Australia and the world.
Garry Frost, guitarist and keyboardist, had left Moving Pictures in 1984, after their second album, and was writing songs at his Sydney home studio in late 1986.He was watching the Nine Network's variety programme Hey Hey It's Saturday's talent segment "Red Faces" when Erik Weideman appeared and performed a cover of Police's "Roxanne”. Garry Frost drove to Melbourne, about 880 km to recruit Weideman on lead vocals, guitar and keyboards. The band became one of the most recognizable acts of its era and released several albums and further hit singles in a career that spanned 6 years.
Warner Music has announced they are re releasing a re-mastered version of ..ish to celebrate a classic Australian album and Erik still possesses one of the best voices in Australian rock music, and has wanted to get back on the road to celebrate.
All the hits will feature (“That’s When I Think Of You”, “If I Could”, “Compulsory Hero”, “You’ll Never Know”, “To Love Me”, “Scars” & “Don’t Forget Me” for starters)

Kim Cheshire
As frontman of The Wheel, Australian Kim Cheshire peddled big-hatted country but delivered it with a kind of knowing cool - folks might talk about urban and western, but The Wheel were the real deal. For his solo debut, he's hooked up with quality players and writers, including The Flood's Kevin Bennett, who co-writes seven tracks, and golden girl Kasey Chambers, who coos her way through the sultry Ship of Fools. It's all quality twang, veering between the swinging rockabilly of That's Right and the bluesy rebellion of All it Took. Cheshire can wrap himself up inside a story, too, as he laments lost love and broken-down dreams like a battle-scarred vet.

Shannon has now released "No Turning Back: The Story So Far." It's a classy collection of ten big hits and five new songs lead by "Summertime." "It's not just all the songs that everyone's heard.. there's something new and a couple of them are really close to my heart, " states Shannon. The album is supported by a "back to basics" National tour that's on the road until December

Wendy Matthews has a reputation as an artist par excellence with a sublime, expressive voice that never fails to move those who hear it. Both acoustically and physically, Wendy Matthews moves with an enviable minimalism. Her music is an unhurried journey of clean melodies, infectious energy and simple grace. In an age when grunge is thought to be hip and cynicism an attribute, Wendy has proven that commitment to beauty is still not only valid but applauded by the public ear. This is exemplified by the reality that Wendy’s music is now in more than 1 million homes in Australia – all her albums to date have multi-platinum status. Wendy has an immense talent and capacity to capture and define a diverse range of styles in her music. She takes songs from every genre and makes them her own, from jazz to blues, from rock to gospel, from soul to outright infectious pop and then, of course, there are the beautiful ballads. Simply put, Wendy Matthews has a reputation for having one of the finest voices ever. As Midnight Oil frontman, Peter Garrett, says when he eloquently describes her abilities: “Wendy’s voice is to the vocal chords what the Daintree is to the wilderness”.

Ashleigh Grace
Ashleigh Grace has always been a bit different.
A gifted vocalist and musician from a young age, Ashleigh is the epitome of a music protege. With a voice that has been described anywhere from classical and powerful to genuine and emotional, she has a sound that has an experience beyond her years, influenced by a mix of the swing era of the 1960's, the power ballads of the 90's and modern day folk artists.
Ashleigh now spends her time writing songs and covering her own versions of both modern tracks and all-time classics. She enjoys almost all forms of music, but particularly loves jazz/swing and ballads. Add piano, guitar and trumpet to a voice that is just 16 years of age and Ashleigh Grace is undoubtedly a star of the future.
Ashleigh hopes to follow in the footsteps of her idols Michael Buble, Eva Cassidy and Audrey Hepburn, all artists who epitomize style, class and above all grace.

Wolf Mail

$29.00 pp + Booking Fee
Wolf Mail measures among the top of a new generation of blues guitarists. He is a passionate and mesmerizing player, or, as Tony Jaggers puts it “Words simply cannot describe the intensity and clarity that comes out of this man's guitar”.
Born in Montreal, Canada, raised in the South of France and California, Wolf Mail grew up as a traveling nomad. “My main inspiration always came from discovering new cultures and people” he says, “My attempt is to translate those feelings into the music”. Mail picked up the guitar at the age of 10, listening to Elmore James and Ray Charles records.
He did his first gig at 14 and ran away from home at 17 to tour with his own band. Soon after turning 18, Wolf decided to relocate to California to further up his career.
At 19 yrs old, after a jam session at the troubadour club in Los Angeles with Randy Castillo, Wolf was invited to play with Randy’s band, the infamous Ozzy Osbourne. During that time Wolf was also solicited by another rock singer, Billy Idol, to replace Steve Stevens as a guitar player. “Although flattered by these requests I always knew my heart and soul was into the blues” he recalls.
Wolf Mail’s music style is a blend of traditional Blues, citing influences such as Albert Collins and Roy Buchanan to classic soul artists like Curtis Mayfield and Otis Redding, to rock & blues legend Johnny Winter.
As for Wolf’s voice, it is very distinctive and particularly suited to the blues.
Wolf now averages hundreds of shows per year touring the U.S, Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan and Russia. Wolf's live performances are legendary, and as Ron Edmonds from Exclusive Management puts it "You always get something out of a Wolf Mail show, if you don't relate to his songs you will sure relate to the intense passion he's got for them".

For 'true' fans of Mark Seymour, the real highlight of one of his concerts, is right at the very end, where he invites the entire audience to join in a sing-a-long with him, of his classic 'Throw Your Arms Around Me'. It becomes apparent right then and there that is truly only one Mark Seymour, one of the true innovators of the Australian music scene. Mark always had a passion for music. And in 1981 when Mark formed Hunters and Collectors, one of the greatest bands in Australia's history was born. The Hunters were a strange lot. It was virtually impossible to categorise their music, and whenever someone tagged them as adhering to a specific genre, they would change their musical style once again, not to prove anything to anyone but themselves. Mark Seymour wrote some of the classic Australian drinking songs such as 'When the river runs dry', football match fave 'Holy Grail', hard rockers and slow ballads like 'True tears of joy'.

The voice was always there. From the first time she opened her mouth those who heard turned their heads, but that wasnt enough for Renée Geyer, still isnt enough for Renée Geyer. Stu Brown, Paul Tenorio, Steve Hudson and Kyle Williams all met while studying at Newcastle Conservatorium, and formed the group in 2001 as a one off, for a proms concert at the con. By popular demand they continued to sing together and in 2002, toured the UK and France with the University of Newcastle Chamber Choir. Since then, they have performed around Newcastle and the Hunter Valley at various weddings, functions and locations including City Hall and the Hunter Valley Gardens.
Short Back and Sides care for the environment and have been certified carbon neutral by the Carbon Reduction Institute (noco2.com.au).
The quartet performed on Australia's Got Talent 2009 and reached the semi finals. Here's what one critic had to say:
“If you thought barbershop quartets were old guys singing vintage tunes, prepare to be amazed. Short Back and Sides wowed judges and crowds alike with their recent appearance on Australia’s Got Talent. This talented foursome gave barbershop a new spin with a soaring rendition of Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida.” Individually these guys all have the vocal chops to impress a capella. But when their voices come together the magic really happens. Who needs a string section when you can harmonize like this?”

Hat Fitz

$21.00 pp + Booking Fee
The ‘wild man’ of Australian blues, Fitz hails from Queensland. Backed by Belfast’s Cara Robinson on drums, Fitz plays guitar (usually a metal-bodied resonator), stomps his foot and sings the blues with a physical presence and power that remind listeners of past blues greats like Son House and Charley Patton. In many ways, he is Australia’s counterpart to R.L. Burnside or T-Model Ford, playing gritty blues of mesmerising, deceptive simplicity.
The blending of pre war hill country and delta blues with traditional Celtic and early Australian folk has produced a truly unique musical style that’s seen audiences world wide drift off into the early morning, often drenched with sweat and always covered in smiles. Sometimes referred to as “Queensland blooze with a twist” you’ll soon appreciate what all the fuss is about. It’s raw, raucous and relevant.
Over the last twenty years, Fitz has toured regularly, playing at festivals around Australia (including fifteen successive years at the world renowned East Coast Blues festival), and in Europe. He has released nine independent CDs, including the 1998 encounter with guitar maestro Jeff Lang on The Silverbacks.
His repertoire includes his own interpretations of blues classics like ‘Shake ‘Em On Down’ and ‘Crawling King Snake’, as well as a swag of original songs. Thanks to Fitz’s telepathic rapport with Cara, the duo can build their performances through a series of frenzied, almost-out-of-control crescendos.

Kim Cannan's musical influences are many and varied. As a child, there was always an abundance of rock, pop, and rhythm and blues albums played by older siblings. Jazz was also on the agenda, however, as a teenager, Kim decided to study Classical Guitar and so listened to some of the best such as John Williams, Julian Bream and Spanish guitarist Paco Pena. In her 20's, Kim was heavily inspired by the brilliant American guitarist Phil Keaggy.
Gigs were regular during this time and Kim performed in Rock and Funk bands as well as A Soloist around Central Coast and Sydney venues.
Although now a professional singer, Kim was writing many instrumental pieces, some of which became part of her Debut album "INTRINSIC" in the year 2000. With the belief that music indeed is the "Universal language" Kim decided it best to let the music "speak".
"JEWEL BOX" was subsequently released in 2002, this album was a fine natural progression from Intrinsic.
Kim's passion to keep music alive in the family home environment inspired her "LULLABY" album.
This album (released early 2006) is different in style to her previous ones.
As the title suggests, it is a compilation of Lullabies, new and traditional including cultures such as French, Italian and Aboriginal.

Gareth Liddiard has spent the last ten years based in Melbourne and North East Victoria, where he has led the universally critically acclaimed band the Drones. Busy with the almost constant touring the band demands, it has not been until recently that he's found the time to release his much anticipated solo album. Liddiard is a documentarian of sorts, unlike many of his peers, who look abroad for songwriting inspiration, Liddiard looks to the country he was born and raised in. Much like his songwriting peers born abroad.
His song Shark Fin Blues was recently voted by Australian musicians as greatest australian song of all time.
"Gareth has this ability leave you standing there completely breathless, in awe of what you have just witnessed. He is an outstanding, unrivalled songwriter and performer, with many challengers, but no one within his league."

Some of the songs were used in the show but Mark "Cal" Callaghan from The Riptides, former members of The Angels drummer Graham "Buzz" Bidstrup and bassist Chris Bailey, together with Kayellen Bee and Marilyn Delaney, decided a brand new band would best showcase their songs.
After adding former Aliens guitarist and keyboard player Geoffrey Stapleton and Adelaide born guitarist Robert James, "GANGgajang" became their self titled debut album. With sales in excess of 120,000, it spawned the hit singles Gimme Some Lovin, House of Cards, Giver of Life, The Bigger They Are and the now unofficial Australian national anthem, Sounds of Then (This is Australia).
The steady requests for GANGgajang live appearances at events across Australia gives them the valued opportunity to continue doing what they do so well. The band has played together for over twenty years and every live performance is as special as their last. They love what they do and so does the audience.

$30.00 pp + Booking Fee
Maria Muldaur's musical roots run deep. Born and raised in New York City's Greenwich Village, Muldaur was surrounded by bluegrass, old-timey, jazz, blues and gospel music, but her very first musical influences were from the records of country and western singers Hank Williams, Kitty Wells, Hank Snow and Ernest Tubb. At age five, she would sing Kitty Wells' "It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels" while her aunt accompanied her on the piano. As a teenager, Maria tuned into early rhythm and blues and was an avid fan of Fats Domino, Little Richard, Clyde McPhatter and Ruth Brown. She became interested in the girl groups coming onto the scene and formed her own, The Cashmeres, while in high school. As pop radio became less soulful, Maria turned to the wealth of American roots music that was being rediscovered right in her own backyard. On any given day, she could stroll through Washington Square Park in the Village and hear blues, jug band, gospel and old-timey music. Soon she was hanging out and joining in on nightly jams and song swaps called hootenannies.

It would be hard to find a voice that captures the mood of a song more perfectly than this on. It's the voice that soars with inspiration, soul and warmth. The voice of course belongs to Australian singer Daryl Braithwaite. In a distinguished career spanning more than 30 years, Daryl Braithwaite is one of Australia's award winning premier performers. His initial success as a singer came with Sherbet, a band which forever remains in the history books of Australian music. Following the success of Sherbet, Daryl returned to the Australian music scene in a very big way as a solo performer in 1988 with the release of the phenomenally successful album "Edge" which spent well over a year in the national charts. Edge spawned four hit singles with "As The Days Go By", "All I Do", "Let Me Be", and the gold single "One Summer". The album itself topped the ARIA charts in 1989 and became the highest selling CD in CBS Australia's history. During this period, Daryl toured extensively not only in Australia, but also in Canada, USA, UK and Europe adding the to incredible sales figures for "Edge".

Dragon

$101.50 pp + Booking Fee
Main Meal & Show Bar stool seating only
$91.50 pp + Booking Fee
Dragon are back, fronted by the legendary kiwi singer Mark Williams. This version of Dragon rocks its way through a long list of iconic songs that are part of the national estate. Bass player, Todd Hunter has reformed the band after a much needed break of 10 years. Todd and Mark are joined by Canadian guitar slinger, Bruce Reid and drum wizard Pete Drummond. The band is known for anthems like April Sun In Cuba, Are You Old Enough, Rain, Speak No Evil, Young Years, This Time, Sunshine, Celebrate and Dreams of Ordinary Men. Todd and Marc Hunter started the band in 1973 and Dragon sold over 2 million records over 30 years. The current live show evolves from an intimate acoustic beginning to a spirited, electric, crowd rousing finale. Mark Williams sings each song in a way that is familiar to the audience but completely his own and strong playing and sublime vocal harmonies have the crowd singing along as if everyone on the room is in the band. Dragon manages to reframe 30 years of Australian musical history into one coherent picture and do justice to a great collection of timeless songs.

Best known for the shimmering "Under the Milky Way," their lone Top 40 hit, the Australian band the Church combined the jangling guitar pop of '60s icons like the Byrds with the opaque wordplay of frontman Steve Kilbey to create a lush, melancholy brand of neo-psychedelia rich in texture and melody. Like only a small handful of other Australian artists, their music has stood a test of relevancy and dating that never strips them of meaning or pleasure. Celebrating their thirtieth year together, and the major success of their latest release Untitled #23 (Amazon.com named it one of the best albums of all time), the band are returning to their home country.

Best known as the guitarist and occasional singer with Cold Chisel. In that group's initial ten year career, Moss recorded eight albums, three of which were #1 national hits. His solo career began with a #1 album and single and five ARIA Awards.

The Bondi Cigars
ONE OF AUSTRALIA'S MOST LEGENDARY RHYTHM AND BLUES OUTFITS COMES BACK TO LIZOTTE'S TO BOOGIE ON DOWN !!
When the Bondi Cigars were first gigging around Sydney, late 1989, they moved in a blues/R&B circuit which, while robust enough since the 60s, had then been sparked into new life by the ‘blues revival’ of the mid-80’s, spearheaded by Robert Cray, Joe Louis Walker, Stevie Ray Vaughan and similar crusaders. And while many of the Sydney bands from that era have vanished, become historical footnotes or undergone major changes, the Cigars - true survivors - have battled on, without ever compromising their distinctive no nonsense style, to become a leading force in Australian R&B. Apart from the timeless, unpretentious nature of the music, an obvious reason for the longevity of the Cigars must be the ongoing musical team work of 2 foundation members, Shane Pacey and Al Britton, who continue to co-lead the band. This also explains the consistency of the band’s sound, instantly recognisable for 17 years now, despite personnel changes and occasional stylistic variations The Cigars have consistently delivered the goods; with Down In The Valley nominated in the 2003 ARIA awards for Best Blues & Roots Album, 1995’s After Closing Time awarded Best Blues Album at the 1996 Lithgow Blues Festival, and two of their songs, Lead Me Not Into Temptation and Intensive Care, chosen to feature on the popular ABC Seachange album. As with all great bands, the sum of the whole exceeds the sum of the parts and the Bondi Cigars are no exception:

The Idea of North

The Idea of North defy categorisation. As a quartet of musicians, their voices are their instruments: soprano, alto, tenor and bass, with a bit of vocal percussion thrown in. Their sound and style is distinct, yet they cross many musical genres: jazz, pop, folk, gospel, even comedy.
Their arrangements are extraordinary. They take songs you know and songs you don't and create songs you'll love. But it's not just about the music.
Their live performances are dynamic and engaging. They have an ability to connect with their audience through not only their passion for music, but also their relaxed presentation and their endearing sense of humour. After just one performance, you walk away feeling like you've known them for years.
What started out as four students from the Canberra School of Music at the Australian National University kicking around as friends, resulted as a group that has won international recognition and taken home awards such as the USA's 'Harmony Sweepstakes' and Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards (USA) for Best Jazz Album & Best Jazz Song, as well as mesmerised fans across Australia and the globe.
The Idea of North are not only defying musical categorisation, but they're defying the odds of just how far a jazz-based vocal-instrumented musical-entertainment group from Australia can go
